For Mark Twain on Education

School is a curse,
a prison to
minds and passions.

Don't wait for a

teacher to tell you
what is in your heart.

Go out; write yourself

into a narrative.
Sing a song
you just made up.

This rigid system loses,

my interest. It is the
worst of all. To know,
I have wasted thousands
of hours and dollars
on daydreaming in
a sterile white room.

We do not have to
be taught
how to live.
