Expectations for Midterm, Mock and Final Exams (and Exit Projects)

I. Exams
a. Midterms, Mocks and Final exams must be cumulative and should reflect 
the content taught throughout the particular subject curriculum.

b. Exams should model the Regents Exams if the course terminates in a 
Regents exam.
i. Email/contact Ms. Klarl to see if she has class sets of your specific 
content area.  Using these “extra Regents Exams will SAVE 
PAPER!!
ii. Regents Exams can  be downloaded from 
http://www.nysedregents.org/testing/hsregents.html

c. The exams must be COPY READY.  (Please use attached checklist.) 
Outlines or a description of what you “plan to do for the exam” will not be 
accepted

d. Exams and answer keys must be submitted on time to your department 
coordinator for initial approval.  Once the exam meets standards,
the department coordinator will submit the exam to the
Assistant Principal of Instruction, Ms. Spencer, for final
approval.

e. The exam will be returned to the department coordinator,


once final approval has been given by the AP of Instruction.
You will receive your approved exam from your department
coordinator so that you may make arrangements for copies
to be made for your students.

II. Exit Projects


a. Exit projects need to be cumulative and should reflect the content taught 
throughout the particular subject.
b. The projects must be differentiated to allow all students to participate in and 
successfully complete the assignment.

c. The project should contain a written piece and a presentation piece

d. A form of assessment such as a rubric or point system must be included 
with the project
