Minnesota Senate Republicans Respond to DFLs All-Tax Budget Proposal (St. Paul, MN) - Today the Minnesota Senate DFL released their Fiscal Year 2014-15 budget proposal. They are proposing a $3 billion increase in spending from our current FY 2012-13 budget, which includes $2 billion in tax increases to cover a $627 million projected budget deficit in FY 2014-15. State Senate Democrats continue to propose job-killing tax increases despite our struggling economy, said Minnesota Senate Republican Leader David Hann (R-Eden Prairie). We should make sure every dollar the state takes is used efficiently and effectively before we ask Minnesotans to pay more. The Senate DFL budget includes zero reform and zero new ideas."
