Mould Cooling

In fact that popular expression mould cooling is slightly incorrect. We should rather talk about maintaining a regular working temperature. It is really important to maintain the correct mould temperature. It varies according to the different types of the plastic from 20 degrees upto 180 degrees centigrade. Mostly we will have to deal with temperature between 30 to 120 centigrade.

Three Plate Mould

This type is quite complicated and difficult to adjust and therefore expensive. In three plate mould we find 2 parting lines. This is the main difference to a normal mould. The opening takes place in two exactly calculated and adjusted steps. As one plate after other is going to open, it is necessary to lock parting line No 2 (actual punch and cavity) against to early opening. Three plate mould includes 1. Fixed plate on injection side. 2. Floating (Middle) plate ( remains after restricted stroke with fixed side). 3. Punch Plate(Moving side mostly).
