Chapter 2 Product Features

2.1 Latest technologies, best for your benefit:
* DSP control system DSP control system uses the latest DSP VDS III multi-axis movement controller of
VECTORSOFT made in Hong Kong and the main frequency has reached 100MHZ which ensure stability while working with high speed.

* USB ports The advantage is that all data processing and algorithm are to be processed directly by the
controller, bypassing the computer altogether as well as the need for transfer software and dongle key.

* 128M flash memoryFLASH MEMOREY The new series has 128M flash memory in the controller. * The new vector controlling algorithm The particular software algorithm and carefully designed accelerated curving method shorten the time needed and increase the efficiency of
processing. In the meantime, it makes the carving much smoother and quieter. During the processing, the scars caused by the vibrations can be avoided so the carved surface of the acrylic letter is much smoother.

* Much easier operation The new series is equipped with a special activator which allows you to adjust speed while working so you do not have to stop your engraver to adjust. In other
words, it would be much easier for you to control the speed so that much better works would be produced. Also there is a "mending" function which allows you to perfect finished works and this can be started from anywhere of the processing so you can do partial engraving for where you are not satisfied with. These two functions make the operation much easier and smoother while producing much better works.

2.2 The other features

1.. Integral steel structure 2. Gantry movement style which enables it to support heavy and large workload 3. High-precision linear ball trial 4. High-quality Aluminum alloy flat roof which is replaceable 5. Accepts all kinds of 3D software 6. Water cooling adjusted speed spindle with frequency inverter 7. Maximum moving speed is 15m/min .

So it needs to set the segment parameters and multiple parameters first, then call this function here. Its operating steps are the same to multiple process. E, Auto Copy Process

Because it reads G code from U disk, it needs to check G code data each time. If it is a larger file, the checking will cost time. So if there is some file needs to be processed frequently, we can process this file once and save it for inner file. When next time, it needs to run this file, we can call it easily. Because this function takes a lot flash memory, youd better not to change too much files into Auto Copy Process file. And if you reset the engraving machine and system parameters, you must to reset this operation.

Appendix1: Parameters of the knives for engravers
For different processing materials, there are many different options for knives selecting and parameters setting. Engravable Materials: Double color board, ABS board, Acrylic plastic, PVC board, Metal materialcopper, aluminum alloy etc. Applicable range: chest badges, modeling, steel model, letter model, seal, furniture, engraved patterns of decoration, gift, souvenir, ad word incision, other engraving works etc. According to changes of material and processing way during engraving, working parameters of the mill is different also. adjustments. 1. Horniness material When mill is lesser, material is harder, reduce the quantum of mill feeding properly, slow incision speed. When require biggish quantum of mill feeding, slow spindle rotate speed properly. When require higher glabrous degree, should reduce the quantum of mill feeding, advance spindle rotate speed, advance incision speed, increase overlapped quantum. 2Flexible material When require higher glabrous degree, if the material doesnt stick to mill, then advance rotate speed properly, reduce incision speed, increase overlapped quantum. The above parameter isnt absolute, parameter, proper adjustment should be made according to achieving the best various situation during operation, find out the most applicable and reasonable process under the condition of ensuring precision and quality, production efficiency. During actual process please notice the abrasion of mill in time, mill abrasion will influence process effect strictly. Consequently, you should make some proper

38 Appendix 2: Maintenance of Engravers

The engraving machine when used to process metal, non metal, wood products and chemical material, produces a great deal of dust and material off cuts. Maintaining your engraving machine is the best way to extend the product lifespan and warranty a product efficiency. What are the ways to follow: First of all, it is necessary to know of and master the structure and working methods of engraving machine according to the user manual. For example: The moving motion of screw rail and smooth stick. Screw rail can transform the rotating motion of motor to the lining motion of material. In other words, during engraving, the relative moving accuracy of mill is ensured by the screw rails. So it is important to maintain the screw rail, and the smooth stick can bear the radial force of other parts to fix the motion, smooth stick can bear axial force. Departure, rust and loosing may cause the smooth stick to bear radial force, lots of noise during engraving, normal motor motion. Long time later, the smooth stick will become deformed and the engraving accuracy is seriously influenced. Basically knowing the engravers, the keynote of maintenance for engravers is grasped. And three aspects of maintenance for engravers are below:

Operating Maintenance
Operating maintenance means that inspection and cleaning of the machine before and after each daily use. What are the steps? 1. Inspection before use: make sure the signal cable, motor cable and sensor cable are not loose, and the power supply is stable. Switch on the power supply, use the keyboard to operate the machine. Make it move backward and forward for two times, then begin to work. 2. After a full days use of the machine, remove the carving knive of the main axle cartridge and also loosen the nut on the spindle, which will extend its expectancy. Proceed to clean the working table with brushes of dust and dirt. Dont leave the other things on the table so as not to make the table deformed. 3. 4. 5. Clear away the dust and dirt of smooth stick, and lubricate with grease oil. Clear away the dust of sensor and control panels, to prevent clogging and affecting the sensitivities of the controls. Maneuver the motor head till it is on the bottom left or right hand to prevent it from being knocked. Turn off the power supply and then pull out the socket. Never unplug it with the power on.

Eng r aving Machine Users Manual

Regular Maintenance
Regular maintenance every 2 months ensures that the machine is checked and re-tuned accordingly in order to remove any unforeseen danger and for general up keeping. Through time, the engraving surface is influenced by the self-driving to become loose and arouse replacement; Also through use, dust is mixed with lubricant to form oil dirt which will clog the smooth stick and screw rail, this damages the machines which causes more extra working because of not being cleaned easily. From the analysis above, two important procedure of maintenance for engravers are as follow: 1 Checking and adjusting, including four parts : 1.1 Make sure all the screws are not loose, such as smooth stick, crossbeam, stand pole, base board, motor head. Fix them firmly to avoid unforeseen danger. 1.2 Make sure the connected cable of the sensor and motor are not aging nor corroded, Find the problems in time, eliminate and replace them to avoid possible short circuit that will damage the machine. 1.3 If the screw rail of the axial distance expels to cause engraving replacement or deformed words, and the error when coming back to relative origin, which are all caused continually with the phenomenon above mentioned. Thus, cleaning and adjusting is necessary. 1.4 Check the source of abnormal noise to assess the point of hidden danger, such as screw rail, axis connect, the two extreme part of milling axis. Clean completely Take out the covers for preventing dust, and sweep the inner part with brushes. Wipe the screw rail, smooth stick with NO.2 engine oil while eliminating the lubricant in the moving position, then paint the screw rail with engine oil and switch on the power supply .Use the keyboard to move screw rail and smooth stick to improve the cleaning efficiency. Paint the engine oil again. Major Servicing Several years later, the inner cables are aging, the machine is etched by acidity and alkalinity, which results in painting dropping, rust, increasing interval between screw rail and screw and lower accuracy. At this moment, common maintenance is not effective so that it can only be sent to the factory for good repair. If measures are not taken to solve the problem, there are going to be unnecessary loss. Heavy repair is given every three years, described in follow aspects: 1. Replace the aging cables in the control unit, clear away the dust on the circuit board, and test the parameters of the circuit boards. 2. Replace the aging cables in the machine body, electroplate the screw rail and smooth stick, and install the motion procedure again. 3. Refresh or replace the bearings and axis connect. 4. Calibrate the working table, stand pole and cross beam

39

5. Erupt the paint for machine.
