The seasons There are four seasons in the year.

The four seasons are: spring, summer, autumn and winter. Spring begins on the twenty first (21st) of March. In Spring the weather gets warmer. The sun shines brightly in the blue sky. The snow melts quickly and turns into water. We can see grass and flowers growing in the meadows. We can hear birds singing in the green woods. Summer begins on the twenty first of June. In Summer the weather is sometimes very hot. We often have thunderstorms when we hear the thunder and see the lightning , and the wind blows hard and black clouds cover the sky. Autumn comes after summer. It is not hot, the weather gets cooler and then colder. The wind blows, the leaves fall from the tree; it often rains and we takes umbrellas. Winter comes last. The white snow falls and covers the ground. It is very cold. There is frost and it freezes. Here is what a spring day looks like. At dawn the sun is just rising. A cool breeze is blowing from the east, but there are not clouds in the sky. The sun slowly rises higher and higher. Gradually the breeze turns into a wind. Clouds appear, and at noon the sky is overcast. It lights and thunders. Large rain drops begin to fall. But soon the bright sun shines out again. The air is fresh. Q: Whats the weather like in your country? A: I think my country has a temperate climate. Warm summers, cold winters with cool and foggy autumns . But, in spring, the weather is very changeable. A: Well, my country is arid. There is like little rain and much drought. But when it rains we have thunderstorms and even hurricanes. A: I think that now , in my country it is hot during the day and just a little cooler at night. It never gets cold enough to snow.
