The author had a strong point of view on her diet plan based on her drinking experiences in college. This in turn made her point of view on health very strong and opinionated opting closely to vegetarianism. As for me this did not sway my opinion on lean beef because my family are all dairy men.

The time of this lifestyle change occurred after she was in college. The plot would have been different if the author had started a healthy lifestyle earlier in her childhood. She would have avoided drinking and eating disorders.

Well educated and smart, she took control of her life one step at a time. She new her limits and was cheerful yet determined. She wanted to live instead of having a short term crash diet which would not give her the happiness she needed. Mainly Caitlin was motivated.

Motivated- Here is the formula for long-term motivation. Grace + Appreciation + Focus = Long- Term motivation. The first thing ot notice about this magical formula is that each component is a positive action. Positive- Instead of simply changing the way you look, change the way you see. Positive changes begin in the mind. Determined- Write down goals, obstacles, and rewards, and post the list in a highly visible location- your bathroom mirror.

Rocky because its obviously inspirational.

The tone of the book is all around positive. Positive mind, body and soul working together for a positive lifestyle change and image.

For me fitness is not just about being thin or muscular it is about taking care of your body and treating it like a temple. In the past I have been a gluttonous sloth and didnt do anything good for my body. I was never fat but I never was healthy either and struggled with an eating disorder when I felt guilty, I needed to make a life change. Our society presents a very false and confusing ideal of beauty and often equates beauty and happiness with health But healthy is not a one size fits all.

The theme of the book is of course overall health and fitness. The rebirth of a new outlook.

Reframing your health goals. Developing a healthy relationship with your body and food. How to tie these two together. Using food as fuel. Healthy eating in practice. Recipes and meal ideas. Developing and maintaining an exercise habit. Finding your fitness. Training for a race. Plans for 5k and 10k races.

The most memorable moment for me was the story about Simon from the United Kingdom. The man has been blind since he was eight years old yet past all odds he ran a Cotswold 100. It is so motivating to me because if Simon can run 100 miles I can get up and at least do a 5k. The author et Simon write his own blurb and experience which was nice to read and see his life.

I chose this picture because it follows the theme of overall health. This chick is a beast and it gets down to the point of the entire book.

I love this book. It has given me a new outlook on life ad my body. People who actually care about their lives would like this book and it isnt just for girls.

Landeros You could probably enjoy this book. Reason being is because you seem to care. It is also a vegetarian book and so you would like the recipes.
