STATIC ANALYSIS OF BUILDING UNDER AIR FLOW USING ANSYS AND MATLAB 1. Introduction
The goal of this project is to give you a very good idea about the fundamental basics of finite element modeling and simulation. You will learn how to conduct a static analysis of a building subjected to wind load using computer modeling and simulation.

2. Problem statement
A portion of building with sloped roof is loaded as shown in the figure 1. The uniformly distributed loads result from air flow on the building. P is vertical downward concentrated load acting on the middle of the member AB. The building is fixed at its base. Each member has cross-section of 1.2x10-2 m2, moment of inertia of 32x10-5 m4 and elastic modulus of 210 GPa.
