These are the results for the SPSS tests run on the data received from the surveys

given to Ophthalmologists and Optometrists

1. Reliability test on questions #1-10.


Reliability Statistics Cronbach's Alpha .647 N of Items 10

The table above shows the results of the Reliability test, Cronbach Alpha, for questions 110 on the survey.

2. I then made two new variables. I combined questions 1,2,3,4,7,10 to make one variable. This variable measured the Independent Variable. The other new variable was made from questions 5,6,8,9. This new variable is the Dependent Variable. Note- IV- how satisfied they are with retinal care in Lafayette and the DV- whether they want a new retinal specialists in the Lafayette area.

3. Next, I ran a correlation test between two new variables, Iv and DV. Below is the table with the results.

5. Below, I have the descriptive statistics for questions #1-10. I combined these questions to make two variable, but this is just descriptive statistics for those before they were combined.
Descriptive Statistics

N I am happy with the retinal care offered in Lafayette. My patients are satisfied with the retinal care offerend in Lafayette. When I send patients to a specialists, I receive my dictated letters and feedback fro the doctor(s) in an eficient manner. When Isend patients to a specialists, I receive the patients back for follow-up care. I think that another retinal specialist opening an individual office would be great for Lafayette. I would be open to the idea of an out-of-state reinal group opneing a satellite location inmy office. I am satisfied with the options of retinal specialists offered in Lafayette. The Lafayette market could sustain another retinal specialists. I would embrace a new retinal specialist in Lafayette and be open to referring patients to this doctor(s).
