MOORELAND HILL SCHOOL

Employment Opportunities

Founded in 1930, Mooreland Hill School is an intentionally small, yet diverse and vibrant learning community that
serves middle school students from all over central Connecticut.

We provide a balanced education, nurturing each student’s intellectual ability and curiosity as well as their personal
and social growth and civic conscience.

We offer a traditional, structured liberal arts curriculum with emphasis on fundamental studying and learning
processes, complemented by strong inter-school athletics, arts and community service programs.

We believe that educational opportunities extend well beyond the classroom to athletic competitions, artistic pursuits,
and school leadership experiences and that it is our responsibility to utilize all these venues to encourage our students
to discover their own interests, talents and passions and to become increasingly responsible for and engaged in their
own learning.

In all that we do – in the classrooms, on the playing fields and the concert stage, in the community – we strive to
nurture the excellence we believe is in each child.

To accomplish these goals, we seek faculty members who are knowledgeable in middle school learning style and
developmental needs, dedicated to fostering each student’s ability to perform to the best of his or her ability in all areas
and willing to work with colleagues and families to create a positive environment for learning and growth.

Mooreland Hill faculty members are selected as much for their genuine interest in young people and willingness to get
involved in every phase of school life as for their scholarship and teaching ability. In addition to teaching, most faculty
members advise, coach, and / or supervise a student activity.

While state certification is desirable but not required, candidates must have a four-year degree.

MHS is committed to having a diverse faculty. The school is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate
on the basis of religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, or physical or mental disabilities.

At this time, there are no employment opportunities available at Mooreland Hill School.

Candidates should send letter of intent and résumé to Michael Dooman, Headmaster
