LAB REPORT NO 1

Static Calibration of Weight transducer

Objective:
To calibrate weight transducer statically and also to know its relation with output voltage.

Theoretical Background: Transducer:

Transducers are electric or electronic devices that transform energy from one form to another. For example, a stereo speaker converts the electrical signals of recorded music into sound. Many people think of a transducer as being a complicated, technical device designed to gather or transfer information. In reality, however, anything that converts energy can be considered a transducer.

Experimental Procedure:
In order to statically calibrate a weight transducer the weights are change and similarly output voltage is changed. Readings are taken and then a graph is plotted in order to find its relationship.

Observation and Calculations:

Conclusion:
Although there is an error in the weight transducer but still the graph is a straight line. It is known as positive zero error and its is subtracted then to get the correct readings. It has a zero error of +0.04. There is a straight line relationship between weights and output voltage of the weight transducer.
