Difference between parallel & series circuits

The difference between a parallel circuit and a series circuit is that in a parallel circuit there is more than one path that the current can take, so if one path fails to work the current can still function as it has other paths to take. No matter how many paths there are in a parallel circuit the voltage will stay the same. Whereas in a series circuit there is only one path for the source to travel on. if something happens to the path of the series circuit it will not work.

Draw a simple diagram of parallel and series using two globes (naming all parts).

When will a circuit not work? A What are conductors and insulators? Give examples. .
