Assistant Operations Officer, U.S. Army Aviation Brigade, 3,500 personnel. Iraq and Hawaii, 2005-08. Led the Brigades Future Operations Cell of 7 personnel, responsible for the daily allocation of the Divisions general support aviation, over 60 aircraft. Increased the number of aircraft missions by over 60% from the previous unit, and completed more combat missions than any other aviation brigade in Iraq during the same time period. Directly planned and supervised the daily operation of over 60 aircraft for the Northern Iraq Division, supporting over 20,000 soldiers, transporting over 500 personnel per day on average and conducting numerous combat missions weekly. Rated by the Commander as the top officer out of 12 peers in the operations section. Platoon Leader/Executive Officer, U.S. Army FA Platoon, 60 personnel. Iraq and Hawaii, 2003-05. Planned and led several combat cordon and search missions in Iraq consisting of over 70 US Army personnel and over 200 Iraqi Security Forces. Planned and led over 300 combat patrols over the course of 13 months to maintain stability and security in the Battalions area of operations.
