Department Overview:
The Human Resources team is responsible for providing support services such as payroll, benefit administration, recruitment, employee relations, labour relations, health and safety, job descriptions and evaluation, as well as, learning and development initiatives. Human Resources also provide strategic support and advice to management with respect to recruitment and selection, workforce planning, compensation, talent management, recognition and retention, performance management and strategic planning and policy formulation.

Position Overview:
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources you will provide administrative and clerical support to members of the Human Resources team. Other responsibilities in which you will provide support include: Coordinate and organize the annual student event in the regulatory energy sector. Assist in coordinating various HR programs, such as onsite training workshops, lunch seminars, service awards for employees, and new employee orientation; Compile, prepare and maintain grievance or labour relations files, serves as resource in researching case law and the interpretation of the collective agreement, serves as a resource in preparing written communication around employee counseling and/or discipline; resource for grievance meetings; and Maintain HR records, preparation of forms and letters, review policies and operational procedures.

We are seeking a detail-oriented candidate possessing strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word). The successful candidate will be a multi-tasker managing large volumes of work and manage changing priorities. Enrollment in a post secondary HR or Industrial Relations diploma or degree program is required.
