PATRIOTISMO Y REPUBLICANISMO EN LA HOLANDA DE ESPINOSA Francisco Jos Martnez

Resumen El objetivo de este trabajo consiste en oponer dos modos de fundamentar los sistemas polticos: el primero se basa en apelar a la historia y a la identidad nacional; mientras que el segundo pone el acento en los mecanismos institucionales. Vamos a tratar estas dos maneras de entender la poltica a partir del ejemplo de la Holanda de los siglos xvi y xvii, con la utilizacin que en esta poca se hizo del mito Btavo y del mito de Venecia. Mientras que el mito btavo es slo histrico, el mito de Venecia tiene un componente histrico y un aspecto poltico y constitucional, que representa Espinosa. Palabras clave: Spinoza, republicanismo, mito de Venecia. Abstract Patriotism and republicanism in the Netherlands of Spinoza. The aim of this work consists of objecting two manners of basing the political systems: the first one bases in appealing to the history and to the national identity; whereas the second one puts the accent in the institutional mechanisms. We are going to treat these two ways of understanding the politics from the example of the Holland of the xvith and xviith century, with the utilization that in this epoch was done of the myth Btavo and of the myth of Venice. Whereas the myth btavo is only historical, the myth of Venice has a historical component and a political and constitutional aspect, which it represent Spinoza.
