ABSTRACT FOR POSTER PRESENTATION

Theme- AIR POLLUTION AND ITS ABATEMENT The concern for environmental quality has been an issue of concern in the backdrop of increasing urbanization, industrial and vehicular pollution as well as pollution of water courses due to discharge of effluents without confirming to the environmental norms and standards. Realizing the trend of pollution in various environmental media like air and water, soil etc., Ministry adopted policy for abatement of pollution, which provides multi-pronged strategies in the form of regulations, legislations, agreements, fiscal incentives and other measures to prevent and abate pollution.
