Intraperitoneal glucose tolerance test

Intraperitoneal glucose tolerance test (IPGTT) was performed in recipients at 14, 30, 60 and 90 days post-transplantation. Recipients were fasted for 4 h and blood was sampled from the tail vein before and 30, 60, 90 and 120 min after an intraperitoneal injection of 20 mg/10 g body weight of dextrose. Blood glucose levels were measured using a blood glucose meter (SureStep, Lifescan, Inc.).
