ABSTRACT In a time of increasing global competition, every organization is concerned about the level of work performance of its employees.

This is because the performance of employees is a major determinant of how successful an organization is reaching its strategic goals and developing a competitive advantage over rival firms. Organizational specialists have determined that an individual employees work performance is made up of two factors: the ability of the individual and the effort that the individual puts forth. Both of these factors can be influenced by the organization. Ability is a function of two organizational practices, selection during interview and training. Thus the researcher is interested to study the interview and induction training at SERC BPO Global Services Private Ltd. The objective of this project is to understand the existing interview and induction practices of the organization. The study is descriptive by nature. Population of the study is 1700 and the sample size of 120 is selected using Simple Random Sampling techniques. Both primary and secondary data are collected. Primary data is collected with the help of a questionnaire and secondary data is collected through books, magazines, journals and websites. The data is analyzed with the help of SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) software and the results are interpreted. The interview practices and the induction training at SERCO BPO Services Private Ltd are found to satisfactory. If the organization concentrates on shared organizational goals and policies, regular appraisal, proper timely feedback and more number of engagement activities the satisfaction level can be improved.
