1.Remote Health Monitoring System Using ZigBee Network and GPRS Transmission Technology
Remote health monitoring system is used to collect and transfer biosignal data from the patient to healthcare center. In this work, a method using the combination of ZigBee and GPRS is presented. These two wireless technologies are integrated to support continuous biosignal monitoring in presence of patient mobility. The principle of remote data transmission through GPRS and short range data transmission through ZigBee is introduced. All data output from medical devices are transferred within a group of wireless personal area network (WPAN) to GPRS gateway. Then, the gateway transmits biosignal data to healthcare center for further analysis. In order to communicate with different medical device, the wireless data transmission devices adopt both RS232 and USB as interface.

2.A family medical monitoring system based on embedded uC/OS-II and GPRS
As a new medical technique, the family medical monitoring system is being paid more and more attention to. In this paper, we propose a design and implementation method of the family medical monitoring system based on embedded uC/OS-II and General Packet Radio Service (GPRS). The family medical monitoring system implements the acquisition of the physiological parameters such as blood pressure(BP), blood oxygen(SpO2), respiration, electrocardiogram(ECG) etc, and sends the real time data to the mobile phone or workstation of the doctors through the GPRS network. This paper also describes the whole system including the data acquisition modules of physiological parameters, GPRS module and the uC/OS-II operating system. Experiments show that the family medical monitoring system performs satisfactorily and has good prospects for practical application in the future.

3.Botanicalls Tweeting Plant

Do you have a hard time remembering to water your house plants? Instead of checking your plants every day to see if they need watering, let your plants tell you if they need some more H2O. This Arduino project from Botanicalls will allow your plant to send you a Tweet when it needs watering. By connecting moisture probes to your Arduino USB board and programming your Arduino with some ready-to-go code, youll be getting tweets like Water me please! or You didnt give me enough water, from your plant
