ABSTRACT This study is about the gender and education in developed country and developing country.

The developed country that the writer chooses is USA and the developing country is an India. In 19th century women are attempt to gain equal rights to get education in the United States. At India, in 2001, 75 percent of males and just 54 percent of females were literate. The National Program for Education of Girls at Elementary Level (NPEGEL) supports sub districts with female literacy. In these two countries, there are some similarities and many differences in their education system. Although both these countries give priority to women's education, but discrimination still occurs on women for some reason. Through this paper, the reader will get knows.
