a. Does teacher A use instructional materials (flip charts, flash cards, diagrams, realia, etc) in teaching? Yes, but only very rare, depending on the lesson. We most commonly the Learning Module everyday b. Are these materials helpful? Why? Yes, because the Learning Activities are in the Module and we are asked to copy it in our notebook for us to answer. The Concepts of the Topic are discovered based on the Structure of the Questions of the Activity. 4. Find out if there are classes in their school that do not use instructional materials. How do they find these classes (as in engaging, interesting, etc)? a. Are there subjects that do not use instructional materials? Yes, our MAPEH and Araling Panlipunan doesnt use any Module. The Teacher only let us copy a Glossary of the Tpics and Subtopics and just base the questions of our Seatwork or Quiz on that Glossary b. How do you find these classes? Its okay for me since I can still catch up and understand his lessons in Mapeh without using instructional materials. But based on my classmates reaction, they really feel boring and some took it as an opportunity to sleep in class. c. What materials can the teacher explore and use in order to improve the learning process? (for College students only) 5. Finally, ask if they see if instructional materials are important for learning and studying. a. Are instructional materials important for studying? for learning? Yes, instructional materials are important both for studying and learning. In class it can arouse our interest and encourage us to be participative and active in class. Also it really aid learning and make me easily understand the lesson. But, for me what is still important is the Teachers Discussion, since most of us are Visual and Auditory Learners. b. What are the advantages and disadvantages of using such materials in learning? In my own opinion, the advantage of using such materials (such as Modules) has a positive effect as it increases Students Interest that will lead to meaningful learning. On the other hand, the disadvantage of using Modules is due to the limited number. So, 3 students share only 1 Module. In addition, there are a lot of torn or missing pages due to mishandling of the previous class who used the Modules.
