Aim of this activity: The aim of this activity is for you to have an interview with a teacher handling your area of concentration/major. In the interview, you will ask about his/her experience of utilizing instructional materials in the learning tasks. After the interview, you will answer accomplish the task found in Part 2 of this sheet.
Instructions: 1) Look for a teacher who is currently teaching your major/area of concentration. (Ex. A SPED teacher, pre-school teacher, high school Mathematics teacher, and the like) 2) When s/he agrees to have this interview with you, please indicate the needed information in the template below.
Form A: UTILIZATION OF INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS
Grade/Year Level Taught: Grade II Subject: English Best teaching practices used in the subject: The key to teaching is motivation. At least, for me. It really depends on the lesson. When I start my class, my target has always been getting their attention first, and then gradually uses them to convey my lesson with my students still having fun.

Reasons for using these teaching practices: My teaching strategies always start with motivation right? Of course those children with special needs dont give much of their attention at first. You still have to take so much time to get them in control or even get them into learning. I cant start teaching without getting them into listening; using motivation as your teaching strategy has been effective for me, I use this all the time because they are kids, they simply need motivation in keeping things up. Things that will help them play, things that they needed to learn.

Instructional Materials that are used in the teaching of the subject 1. Tactual materials -

Strengths Addresses the senses of the children -

Weaknesses Some students who are more on reading and visual, get to lessen their participation when this is used. Visual aids are more of a distraction if used throughout the entire presentation versus during key points.

2. Audio visual

Students learn fast when it all appeals to their five basic senses. Enlighten the imaginations of the students

What instructional materials are not currently used by the teacher but are being explored and are expected to be of great help in the teaching and learning of the subject?

Before giving out instructional materials, you have to make sure that you know all your students. Know them all the more so that you have an idea what instructional materials they need. 2. 3. After getting to know them, write something about them. About their needs, their characteristics. Most importantly, make sure that when you discuss, you are using the same language that they are using every day. Use a conversational language in fact. *******c,*******
