Mathematics Key Questions

I- How are the methods of mathematical reasoning used to evaluate

situations and decide (by deduction, elimination, inference, or
grouping) which outcome is true or possible?

II- How may problems be solved by the systematic application of

mathematical strategies that may include reasoning, evaluation and
validation of response?

III- How are spatial relationships, including shape and dimension, used
to draw, construct, model, and represent real situations or solve
problems?

IV- How can the language of mathematics be used to communicate

information, processes, relationships, conditions, and results within
mathematics itself and to other disciplines?

V- How objects are described by numerical measurements and how

may mathematical operations and techniques then produce
improved description?

VI- How can mathematical expressions progress from a set of axioms

through rigorous proof?

VII- How do graphs and/ or analysis of data lead to a deeper

comprehension of the data source?

VIII- How does mathematics reflect the function and boundary of a

system and how can this reflection lead to true models of the way
the world works?
