We are a small, informal and friendly Film Studies group. Sessions are organised around watching film clips and discussing them. The group is facilitated by Ruth Tosha Mulandi who holds a degree in Film and Drama and was General Manager of the Phoenix Cinema for 7 years.
I have been enjoying Ruths film club for many years. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable about her subject, she has the knack of inspiring stimulating debate and drawing out contributions of interest from all the group.

In 1999, I was inspired by Ruths passion for, and extensive knowledge of, the cinema and have been a member of her excellent Film Club ever since! I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the term we have just finished and how much I feel it filled a gap in my knowledge of cinema history!
