Abstract:
This paper presents intial research into smart garment for
firefighters and sporters (aginst faul resistance) using smart composite
fall structure and related technology. This study is a first step in the exp
ation of the utility of smart composite woven- nonwoven- woren and
especial sensors in the recording of body movements through garmev
response. The result presented here are preliminary K however the do
indicate upward downward and forward arm positions. Further work
required to model the more complex garment (firefighter-sorter jar
interaction experienced during backward arm movement, and the effect
of garment structure on sensor response.
