Standards Assignments:
The main objective of these assignments is to encourage sustained learning by implementing SC MAPS materials in the classroom at a suitable level addressing the appropriate curriculum standards for that particular situation. Your assignment is to examine the content range of the activities covered during each class session, investigate the standards correlations (also on the SC MAPS website), and produce a unit plan outline indicating how you could incorporate SC MAPS and/or SC LIFE materials from this unit into your own classroom curriculum plans. You must then try out your unit plan in your own classroom and complete a critique form to assess the success of the unit. Students not currently teaching in a classroom must substitute a 300 500 word rationale for how the unit applies to the grade/subject level you have selected for usage in place of the critique form.
