Diah Hari Suryaningrum (107020301111007) GOLD PRODUCTION From the gold production table (table 1), it is apparent that

the production of gold in Indonesia is increasing from 87,500 kgS in 1990 to 124,000 kgS in 2010. The increasing number of production flactuated gradually from year to year. The largest change of production was from the first periods to the second periods. The increasing change is 12,000 kgS, while in the folowing periods, the change decreased significantly, particularly in the last periods (from 2005 to 2010). The increasing change was only 1,000 kgS. The largest contributor or producer is gold mine in Papua. It contributed almost 24 percent of Indonesias gold production. Whereas Bali is the lowest producer since it is only contributed around 4 percent. The production of gold from the largest mine to lowest is as folows: Papua, East Kalimantan, Central Java, East Java, West Java, and finally Bali. The tendency of production differs for each region. From the first to the last periods, in East Java, West Java, and Bali, the gold production tends to increase every year. It is different with Central Java, that reach its peak in the third periods (1997-2000). It produced 21,000 kgS and after that the production decrease to 20,000 kgS and remain stable for the last three periods. The case was almost similar with the gold production in Papua. In Papua, the production tends to increase and never decrease and then stabilized for the last two periods.
