Next Week

Bible: This week we will discuss the story of Abraham. We will learn about how Abraham obeyed God and how God blessed Abraham. Math: We will finish our chapter on position and sorting this week and will take our Chapter 1 test the following week. We will also continue discussing patterning. Science: We will be learning about animals and their homes. Social Studies: We will read the book Me on the Map and discuss maps. Reading: Our story will be Plaidypus Lost. We will focus on sequencing. Handwriting We will continue practicing proper pencil grip, writing our first names, as well as writing the letters Gg and Mm.

Other Important Information


The My Word Books went home on Wednesday of this week. They are due back by Monday. Please complete the Aa and Dd page. Next Wednesday the books will come home again and students will complete the Gg and Mm pages. Mrs. Willis will continue to work with students (doing the SEARCH testing). It will take her several weeks to get to all of the Kindergartners. A decodable reader went home with your child today. You will get one of these almost every week. We read them together in class. Please try to have your kindergartner read it to you at home. Thank you thank you thank you to everyone who has supported our classroomwhether you have been cutting, volunteering at Friday centers, or fulfilling our wish list items! We are so grateful for all you do to help us!
