ABSTRACT COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN LAND RECLAMATION EXCAVATION C IN THE CIBEUREUM WETAN VILLAGE CIMALAKA SUBDISTRICT SUMEDANG REGENCY Rego

Pradana (0800172) The rapid pace of development today is the demand for building materials and the industry continues to increase, not least with minerals C. Sometimes employers do not restore the land or reclaiming excavation C, but there are Permen ESDM No.18 Tahun 2008 Pasal 24 about reclamation and closure. As in the Cibeureum Wetan village excavation C that has been reclaimed only 8 ha of 36 ha. The problem in this research: (1) how the level of community participation in land reclamation excavation C in the Cibeureum Wetan Cimalaka subdistrict Sumedang regency? (2) what factors lead to low community participation towards reclamation excavation C in the Cibeureum Wetan village Cimalaka subdistrict Sumedang regency? (3) what efforts are important to maximize land reclamation in excavation C in the Cibeureum Wetan village Cimalaka subdistrict Sumedang regency? The method used in this research is descriptive method. The variables used in this study is a single variable. The population of the village Cibeureum Wetan territory with an area of 470.68 ha, while the population is the head of the family that owns the farm land with 1050 the number of households. The entire sample area in the village of Cibeureum Wetan RW, while the sample population was 56 families from all over the RW. Data collection techniques used are distributing questionnaires, observation, photography and literature study documentation. The data analysis technique used researcher is using the percentage calculation and the calculation of the Likert. The result of this research is level of community participation in the Cibeureum Wetan in reclamation excavation C lower categorized as being in the interval 1009-1457. Factors affecting the participation levels are less than half of the respondents were educated and did not last elementary schools, income respondents fraction >Rp.2.000.000, and more than half of respondents did not know the reclamation.
