What prior knowledge or skills are required? How does this lesson link to the previous one? How will you group your students? Whole class, small groups, individual? Detailed list of all equipment and resources needed throughout entire lesson.

Prerequisite knowledge/concept/skills/vocabulary required: How does it link to previous lesson? Students participated with a sports lesson I ran on Wednesday 16th. Grouping/s and Physical Space: Outside area big enough for both games. Equipment/Resources required: Big open space Markers Whistle Soft balls (4) Sashes (one set). Lesson Structure: Introduction: Start off by giving instructions (brief and explicit). Instructions linked to a demonstration are best from what I gathered from last sports session. Giving clear expectations, establishing behaviour that is expected. Make rules (with input from children if appropriate) and explain the reason for each rule.

What will you do to introduce the lesson? How will you introduce the main objectives of the lesson?

students to do. Provide brief details of the learning activities and think carefully about the purpose when designing these activities. If students are grouped, describe each groups activity separately. Provide examples and questions that you will use. Give an estimate of the duration of each activity. Indicate how you will monitor each students understanding. Ensure that the content is evident from your description. How will you draw together the ideas of the lesson? The process may include whole class sharing, teacher-directed or student led discussion, reflective journal writing/sharing, a summary, a scene setter for the next lesson, etc.

Things to keep in mind for this session: Avoid too many interruptions, too much feedback and too many corrections. Make sure most of the session is used for participating in activities and games. Letting children experiment, I.E. let the players take the game in a new direction or to another level. After playing an activity challenge players to come up with CHANGE IT variations. Provide a lead if necessary, e.g. Think of another way of scoring. Main Component: Start off with a warm up. Groups (4) with 6 in each group, if uneven making changes. ALL GAMES ARE IN SAME TEAMS 1st game: Tunnel ball going through different variations Over the top Under legs Around the sides Over under over under Rolling through First group to finish sitting or standing in a straight line. 2nd game: Relays Running to a certain point Jumping Bouncing a ball First group to finish sitting or standing in a straight line. 3rd game: Circle throw Catchers on the outside and the thrower in the middle. If catchers catch the ball they take a step back. The team that steps back the most wins. The game goes for 5 minutes. (Children can take in turns to be the thrower in the middle) 4th game: Tail chasey Every student has one sash in their pocket or hanging out of their pants. The person with the most sashes by the end of the game wins. You can only grab one sash at a time and cant take sahes from students that are putting their sashes in their pocket. Conclusion: Pack up and two students the back the equipment that was used. Walking back to the classroom for lunch. Monitoring of Student Learning: Observe whether students are taking turns, cooperating and sharing. These attributes will be the main focus I want children to do. Whether students are being thoughtful and cooperative actions and encouraging other students. Also, children showing independence, giving students the freedom to make decisions to change/modify the game.
