Bug of the Week

Bible Memory
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
(We will work on this verse for 2 weeks. Students will say their verse on Friday, October 18)

Next Week

Bible: Next week we will be learning about Joseph and how God is always with us, even in hard times. We will also discuss how God has a plan for each of our lives. Math: We will continue to work on patterning and graphing. Science: We will be learning about the different types of animal coverings (fur, feathers, scales, etc.) and how they are useful to animals. Social Studies: We will continue discussing different types of animal and people homes. Reading: We will be reading the story Dig, Dig, Digging and our comprehension focus will be classifying and categorizing. We will also begin reading stories about fire safety. Handwriting We will continue practicing proper pencil grip, writing our first names. We will also be reviewing the letters we have worked on so far (Cc, Oo, Aa, Dd, Gg, Mm, and Ll, Hh).

Other Important Information

Mrs. Willis will continue to work with students (doing the SEARCH testing). It will take her several weeks to get to all of the Kindergartners. We have been working on writing our first names using upper case for the first letter and lower case for the rest. Please also work on this at home.
