LIBRARY DIRECTORS REPORT In addition to Library Department Head Report Library staff were trained on how to help people with questions for Obamacare in October. They will be creating displays with information, links on website and classes. Brandie had the 4 laptops cleaned up. Iowa Computer Depot put Deep Freeze on them and installed Microsoft Office (discounted copies from Tech Soup). The Janet Dailey author talk is scheduled for September 7th in Early. A new State Librarian will be hired

soon. Mary Wegner is retiring. We are a tier 3 library and need to be re-certified with the State in February 2014. PUBLIC COMMENTS OLD BUSINESS NONE NONE

NEW BUSINESS Sac County Endowment Grant The board agreed NOT to apply for the 2013 Sac County Endowment Grant because we have no viable project that meets the vertical infrastructure requirements of the grant this year.
