    In 1981,after 28 months of establishment of new regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran,the terrorist group of Mojahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) began its terrorist operations against the people and governemnt of Iran. and one month after,Masud Rajavi,the leader of the MKO,founded another group,National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI),to pretend that other groups and personalities had joined and supported him . At that time,Rajavi wanted to use the influence of the fired president,BaniSadr,and some parts of the democratic party of Iranian Kurdistan and also a few other communist groups to acheive his goals.

NCRI always lives in MKO"s bosom 73 Brief on meeting places of NCRI in Iraq -The first NCRI’s meeting was held in a part of this compound and in a building named “ Army Staff” of NLA in Iraq. - This meeting was held in a compound 80 KM north Baghdad and close to the city of Khales. -MKO calls this compound “ ASHRAF ”. It is the main and the most important headquarters of MKO’s terrorists in Iraq. The first NCRI meeting was held in Iraq on winter 1987, during the Traq war against Iran.
