Promising Young Musician and Composer Releases First CD

Michael Carter Jr., age 14, will release his first Urban Contemporary Jazz album, The Future, on
August 17, 2013 at Arnelias located at 1183 University Avenue in St. Paul, MN at 7:00 p.m. The album goes on sale August 15, 2013. In celebrating his first album release, the smooth Jazz sound of Wenso Ashby featuring Zsam will introduce Michael to the community and the incredible Saxophonist, Willie Moore, will perform with him. The well known DJMJ-Malcolm will cap off this evening of first class entertainment with old school R&B and Chicago Steppin music. These established artists are performing at this event to support and welcome the young Michael Carter Jr. to the music industry.

His debut CD, The Future, rocks you with deep bass lines, piano and saxophone melodies, said Michael Carter, Sr., father and Executive Producer of the album. Michaels music is best described as Urban Contemporary Jazz because of its strong R&B and Hip Hop influences. He is a fine pianist, but a music composer at heart I believe Michaels music will start to bring more of the younger generation to the jazz genre you have to hear it! he continued. -MORE-
