The Future Jazz CD on Sale Today

Musician and composer, Michael Carter Jr.s, age 14, first album, The Future, goes on sale
today and can be purchased at: www.michaelcarterjr.com. With all the negative things in the press about our youth, it is nice to see a young man with so much ambition and drive, said Michael Carter Sr., father and Executive Producer of the album.

The album, The Future, is best described as Urban Contemporary Jazz because of its strong R&B and Hip Hop influences. I believe this is a whole new genre that will appeal to older traditional fans of contemporary jazz while bringing more people from the younger generation into this genre, said Michael Jr.

Michael Jr.s main instrument is the piano, but he is also an accomplished drummer. He is a fine pianist, but a music composer at heart. He composed all the songs on the album.

The well-known DJMJ-Malcolm will cap off the evening with first class entertainment of old school R&B and Chicago-style Steppin music. These established artists are performing at this event to support and welcome the young Michael Carter Jr. to the music industry.
