Is it proved by hadith or narration that in the grief of

Imam Husain (s) , Imam Sajjad (s) wept blood instead of
tears?

In the Name of Allah the Compassionate the Merciful

Salamun Aleykum
Answer: as quoted in the book "MAJALIS FAKHIRAH" by

SAYED ABDUL HUSSAIN SHARAF UL DEEN on page 133.

"Each time when water was brought to imam ZAINUL
ABIDEEN (A.S) for WUZU he used to weep so much that water
would turn red due to blood. And it is also in ZIYARAT
NAHIYA that is narrated from imam ZAMAN (A.S) in which
he says "if tears dried I would weep blood for my poor
(GHAREEB) imam".
