Big Mac and French Fries Life Story

Proteins
The biomolecules that are in this meal are Proteins Carbs Lipids The proteins comes from the big mac because of the meat in the burger. Proteins are broken down into amino acids. They are important because they provide chemical signals provide building blocks for muscles and body tissues give us enzymes allowing reactions to occur The organs in the digestive system that breaks down proteins are the Stomach Small Intestine The enzymes that breaks down the proteins is the protease pepsin

Carbohydrates
The soft drink in the big mac and fries meal contains the carbohydrates because fruit juices have sugar/glucose molecules in it. Carbohydrates are important because It gives quick energy stores amino acids for later use Carbohydrates are broken down into Glucose molecules Amino Acids Carbohydrates are important to our body because we need to have energy throughout the day Carbohydrates are mainly broken down in the Small Intestine Carbohydrates turn into simpler sugars called Maltose Then broken down even further by the enzymes inside your small intestine and ends up going into your blood stream

Lipids
Lipids are in this big mac meal inside the French fries because when you fry it theres oil

The Mouth
The organ where the digestive system begins. It breaks down the food into smaller bits so it can begin the process of the digestive system. the biomolecule thats found in the mouth is amylase, which breaks down the starches in the mouth.

The Esophagus
The process that occurs in the esophagus is indigestion, which is the act of taking in nutrients. The esophagus is the passageway from the mouth to the stomach. There is no specific enzyme or chemical involved in processing the biomolecules in this organ.

The Stomach
The stomach is a hollow organ, it holds the food while its being mixed with enzymes that continue the process of breaking down food into usuable form. cells in the lining of the stomachs secrets has strong acid and powerful enzymes that are responsible for the break down process. after everything is processed its moved into the small intestine. The biomoleclue found in the stomach is pepsin which breaks down the protiens.

The Small Intestine

The process that occurs in the small intestine is absorption, which is the act of taking in small molecules. The food molecules are absorbed into the bloodstream to be delivered throughout the body.

The Large Intestine
