Dear Ms Hewitt, The senior management met recently to discuss possible ways of increasing staff motivation and we have

agreed to recommend the following measures. Firstly, we recommend building a sports centre for use by all categories of staff. While this would be costly, it would facilitate positive involvement through company-related sports activities. Secondly, we recommend investment in both subsidising the staff canteen and decorating the premises, which we believe would go some way towards addressing the dissatisfaction that has been expressed by our staff. Thirdly, we have agreed that increasing training opportunities for our designers as well as secretarial and administrative staff would contribute to their professional development and emphasise their value to us.
