Dance Standard: Dance Model Academic Standards By End of Grade 4 Standard C Improvisation #2 Improvise spontaneous dances using poetry, stories, and props. Objective: Student will demonstrate improvisation of dance of a poem in order to increase the understanding of the poem. Assessment: Observation of students creation of movement as it relates to the poem and notation of effective group work.

Objective: Student will demonstrate their ability to write a short song in order to increase the understanding of the inferences they draw from text.

Objective: Student will demonstrate knowledge of Wisconsin History by use of songs in order to increase their understanding or historical concepts. Assessment: Observation of students song as it relates to the historical context and notation of effective group work.

Objective: Student will demonstrate their ability to read a map to increase their ability to recreate a map of the world. Assessment: Evaluation of students ability to read a map and recreate a world map and notation of problem solving techniques.
