After creating an animated dictionary, students will be able to comprehend core social studies vocabulary with 80% accuracy.

Students will be given the choice to create their own PowerPoint or use the template I have provided. Students will label each slide with a different science vocabulary word. (Directed) Students will be directed to http://dictionary.reference.com/ or http://www.wikipedia.org/ (in cases where the definition cant be found on the first site.) (Directed) The students and I will look up each word and discuss its definition and add the definition to their PowerPoint Presentations. (Directed) Students can then work on their own or with a partner to search their Library Databases for pictures, videos, and sound to represent the definitions of each of their vocabulary words. (Constructivist) Students will add whatever media they choose to their slide that best represents the definition of the intended vocabulary word.
