Summary
The season started just as planned for the defending World Series champs, it was May 26 and they were in first place in the NL West with 28-22 record. The dropped to a season worst 16 games under .500 on September 7th, but finished the season winning 13 of their last 20 games. Needless to say the season was a disappointment as they missed the playoffs completely. They have already locked up Hunter Pence and Tim Lincecum to long-term deals.
