Class: ESL at Sejong University TOEIC Speaking class Objective: Students will improve speaking skills in different situations. Students will be introduced to the several English conversation styles. Students will be able to perform two conversations using digital media. Procedure: Students must work in pairs. Using the examples outlined on of the textbook p. 93. Students choose two conversations styles and model them in a short video. The video must demonstrate TWO conversations described in class. Student should use appropriate vocabulary listed in textbook. Examples are listed below. Please refer to the rubric for marking scheme. Minimum 1 minute to a maximum of 2 minutes. Conversations outlines in our text include: Advising - suggest, recommend Disagreeing argue, quarrel, fight Social talk, gossip, chat Volume - shout, whisper, scream Giving Commands tell, order, demand Dislike complain, criticize, protest Describing object, place, activity Court of Law admit, deny, accuse
