0 Lesson: Using Quizlet to make Flashcards Subject: State History Grade level: 4th Objective: Students will use Quizlet to create flashcards of important topics mentioned in the chapter. Research and Information Fluency. Students apply digital tools to gather, evaluate, and use information. 4. Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, and Decision Making Students use critical thinking skills to plan and conduct research, manage projects, solve problems, and make informed decisions using appropriate digital tools and resources. Directions: After learning about Wisconsin history students will be grouped with two other students. The group will then choose 5 or more famous people to research from the list provided. (http://www.50states.com/bio/wisconsin.htm#.UlnLplCkqTk) Using the internet students can research their chosen Wisconsinites o Must cite sources. They will use the famous Wisconsinites to create their flash cards. Students will watch as I do a quick preview of Quizlet.I will create a class name for us. The groups will then use this Web 2.0 tool to create their flash cards. o They will enter their group name under our class name in Quizlet.

o This way when everyone is finished they can view each others flash cards Once the students have completed their five or more flashcards, they will print off their creations. o Students can also go online to study, but it is always nice to have a printed copy of their work. Students will be allowed to keep the flashcards and use them to review for the test.
