Ashley Slaughter EDU 202 12/2/13 Clayton Fire House Santa Breakfast Summary Santa Breakfast is a fundraiser held

by the Clayton Fire House. The event serves children and adults of all ages. Children and adults are able to enjoy an all you can eat breakfast, make Christmas crafts, take photographs with Mr. and Mrs.s Clause and purchase a small present for loved ones. 2013 marks the 17th annual Santa Breakfast. The fundraiser first served approximately 75 people; however, due to population growth the fire house currently serves approximately 350 people. The fundraiser is both funded and organized by the members of the Clayton Fire House. The public is informed of the agency through advertisements, local newspapers, cable channels, radio stations, email, posters, and word of mouth. This year the event was held on December 1st. The public was welcomed in at 8AM and were able to enjoy the festivities until 11AM. Children under the age of 2 received free admission, children ages 3-12 cost $5, and adults above the age of 13 cost $8 to enter. The Santa Breakfast serves as a wonderful opportunity for children of all ages to join together with their families and celebrate the holidays. It is also an occasion that encourages community involvement. The event is useful to both children and adults by encouraging community and family involvement. Loved ones are reminded of the importance of the holiday season, to make spirited memories.
