ABSTRAK

Kajian ini dijalankan untuk mengenalpasti keberkesanan pelaksanaan strategi kolaboratif dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan prestasi serta menarik minat murid terhadap mata pelajaran Sains. Sampel kajian adalah daripada salah sebuah sekolah pedalaman di Daerah Tuaran seramai 7 orang. Intervensi yang digunakan oleh pengkaji adalah menggunakan Strategi Kolaboratif. Pengkaji menggunakan Model Kurt Lewin (1948) dan Laidlaw (1992) dalam kajian ini. Data dikumpul secara triangulasi iaitu menggunakan instrumen Lembaran Kerja (analisis Dokumen),Ujian Pra,Ujian Pasca dan soal selidik. Instrumen dianalisis menggunakan analisis diskriptif peratus kekerapan dan min peratus markah. Kajian ini dijalankan selama 8 minggu. Dapatan awal iaitu daripada ujian pra menunjukkan prestasi kesemua responden berada di tahap sederhana. Hasil dapatan dalam analisis data menunjukkan peningkatan Min markah yang sangat baik. Selain itu, keputusan ujian pasca turut menunjukkan peningkatan yang baik berbanding ujian pra. Seterusnya, hasil dapatan daripada soal selidik mengenai minat murid terhadap strategi kolaboratif dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran sains juga telah meningkat. Keputusan kajian ini jelas menunjukkan penggunaan strategi kolaboratif dalam amalan penyampaian pengajaran dan pembelajaran telah membantu meningkatkan penguasaan murid seterusnya menarik minat murid terhadap mata pelajaran Sains.
This research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of collaborative strategy in teaching and learning by improving students performance and interest in Science. The sample of 7 students are from a rural school in Tuaran district. The intervention used by the researcher is 'Collaborative Strategy. The researcher used Kurt Lewin (1948) and Laidlaw (1992) models. Data was collected by triangulation which consist of Worksheet (Document Analysis), Pre Test, Post Test and questionnaire. The instruments were analysed by using descriptive analysis which is frequency and mean percentage in students mark. This research was conducted within 8 weeks. The early findings from pretest was all respondent performed moderate. The findings in the data analysis showed an increase of the mean. In addition, the post test result also showed better improvement over the pre-test. Further, the findings of the questionnaire on the interest of students towards collaborative strategy in teaching and learning of Science also increased. The results of this research clearly showed the effectiveness of collaborative strategy in teaching and learning helps to improve students achievement. This subsequently attracted the interest of students in Science.
