Schedule of Classes The executive mentorship course provides an opportunity for
graduate students to build a professional relationship with the local
business community by integrating student learning with hands-on
business problems. Arrangements for participation, requirements,
and learning expectations are worked out on an individual basis

Practicum Project B

Prerequisite: satisfactory completion of Practicum A.

This course can be taken for 1-4 units.


In this final portion of the practicum project, students will analyze
data collected earlier, formulate a conclusion, write a 10 - 20 page
concluding project paper, and prepare a public presentation for
peers, faculty and guests. Presentations are scheduled at the end of
the quarter. At this time any deliverables required in addition to the
Practicum B paper are also submitted. As instructed, all submitted
materials must be bound. Students will meet formally with the
practicum advisor two or three times during the quarter, and will be
in contact as needed to resolve process issues that may arise.

Practicum Project A

Prerequisites: advisor permission required.

This course can be taken for 1-4 units.


This is the first half of the capstone activity that completes the
degree program. In this seminar, students select a topic, create a
proposal and commit to the project by signing a contract. Students
work independently to conduct research, administer surveys, visit
related businesses, and perform other operations to generate
information and data in support of the project. At the end of the
quarter, a 10 - 20 page Practicum A paper describing the learning
process is submitted for evaluation. Students will meet formally
with the practicum advisor two or three times during the quarter,
and will be in contact as needed to confirm direction and resolve
issues that may arise. Pre-requisite: 30 units completed. LIMIT 20
