Yes They should be mandatory. We live in a multicultural society and country, and students and teachers should have the opportunity to learn more about other cultures.

5-10 years Finding enough time. It's especially a problem when we bring speakers into the school because then the students have to miss class time for an assembly.
The morning announcements are a great way to spread information about cultural issues. Also, we use space in the Media Center for exhibits and displays.
