    Abstract Laboratory equipment can play an important role in stimulating and maintaining interest in physical sciences. To address the lack of laboratory equipment in the Physics Department of Baguio City National High School, this study was conducted to design and build an apparatus to apply the theories of projectile motion. In particular, the researchers designed and built a projectile launcher with an added feature which is a cart that will catch the projectile at the end of the trajectory for the use of high school students. The process entailed designing and building of a prototype. Testing of the prototype involves the third year students who conducted an experiment on projectile motion that gave feedback as to its usability and utility. Further, PreTest and Post-Test were conducted to measure the understanding of the students regarding projectile motion. Keywords: projectile; launcher; design; cart; laboratory equipment
