GUIDELINES FOR THE APPLICANT MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME2013

Mentors are requested to be proactive, take the initiative and interact regularly with their mentees Their conduct should be proper and should reflect the professional ethics imparted to us by our institute The language and tone of interactions, though not strictly formal, must fall within the domains of erudition, dignity and culture of a premier business school Mentors are expected to address the queries and concerns of the mentees in an effective and timely manner. The information supplied by the mentors should be clear and correct. In case of any doubt, mentors are requested to clarify with the admissions committee before passing any information to the mentees. However, it is not expected that the mentors would be available !"#.$lthough there should not be a humongous delay in their responses, minor delays are understandable. %o placement related information should be provided unless they are officially published by the placement committee. The &$'s document will be made available to you so as to ensure that every mentor is communicating the same information and there are no contradictions. $ny kind of preparation (or otherwise) related help and advice by the virtue of your own experience to the applicants would be appreciated. Mentors are requested to refrain from making undignified remarks or demeaning any other college"institute. It is always a better idea to highlight your own positives than to enumerate your competitors* negatives. It is worth remembering that we are the biggest brand ambassadors of our college. +e will be recogni,ed by our institute*s name throughout our lives. Hence, it is our primary responsibility to ensure that the world associates the same pride and values with IMI which build up its very essence.
