Math News

Last week we voted as a class from 3 animals in the rainforest: blue monkey, boa constrictor, and leopard. The boa constrictor won! We will begin researching the boas habitat in the African Rainforest. We will divide into small groups and begin using our research to build the rainforest in our classroom.

A Note from Mrs. Danley...


Dear Parents, Our piggy banks have been ordered and they should be in this week! Students will paint and personalize their bank and collect their coins each day. They are really enjoying earning coins each day. Spelling make up test from Friday will be on Monday this week. We will have a regular scheduled week of testing this week. :) Progress Report grades will come home in about 2 weeks. We are making great progress each day in second grade. Please continue to read with or listen to your child read for at least 20 minutes each night. We will continue to work on fluency/comprehension skills at school each day. We are working hard to prepare for 3rd grade. Mrs. Danley :) WISH LIST: pop tabs, quart and gallon size ziplock bags, and small bottles of sanitizer

*Read 20 minutes each night and complete one page in Math HW packet. Monday-Read weekly story. Wednesday-Study Vocabulary words/cards. Thursday-Study for Reading weekly test and complete Spelling Practice Test.
